Resonance PC System Requirements — Specs & Performance

Official Requirements Status

Asobo Studio has not published final PC system requirements for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy as of pre-launch coverage. This page will update immediately when official minimum and recommended specifications are announced ahead of the August 27, 2026 launch on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

Based on A Plague Tale: Requiem's requirements and Resonance running on the same engine with enhanced combat systems, ray-traced elements, and similar visual fidelity targets, expect comparable hardware demands. Requiem's minimum spec required GTX 970 or equivalent with 16GB RAM; recommended spec targeted RTX 3080 for high settings.

PC players should monitor this page and our release date page for official spec announcements typically arriving 4–8 weeks before launch.

Expected Minimum Specs

Projected minimum requirements based on engine lineage: Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD equivalent, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480, 55GB storage, DirectX 12, Windows 10 64-bit. These specs should enable 1080p at 30fps on low-medium settings based on Requiem performance patterns.

Minimum specs typically support playable experiences but with reduced visual fidelity, shorter draw distances, and potentially disabled ray tracing. Combat with parry timing remains fully functional at lower frame rates, though sub-30fps may affect dodge invincibility frame consistency.

Expected Recommended Specs

Projected recommended requirements: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3070 or AMD RX 6800 XT, 55GB SSD storage, Windows 10/11 64-bit. Expected to deliver 1440p or 4K at 60fps with high settings and ray-traced reflections enabled in select areas.

SSD storage is increasingly standard for Asobo releases — install on SSD for faster loading between Minotaur's Island regions and reduced texture streaming during combat encounters. HDD installation may work at minimum spec but with noticeably longer load times.

Ultrawide monitor support has not been officially confirmed but Asobo typically supports ultrawide resolutions in PC releases. Steam Deck compatibility depends on final specs and optimization — handheld performance likely requires reduced settings.

Platform Alternatives

Players without gaming PCs can access Resonance through PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Xbox Game Pass including cloud streaming. Console versions target 60fps at dynamic 4K without hardware configuration concerns.
