Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy releases worldwide on August 27, 2026. Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment confirmed the date alongside gameplay reveals at Xbox Games Showcase 2026, with preview coverage from IGN, Paris press events, and hands-on sessions validating the launch window.

The August release positions Resonance in the late-summer window ahead of typical holiday AAA congestion, giving Sophia's Minotaur's Island adventure room to breathe in the market. Pre-load availability and exact unlock times will be confirmed closer to launch by platform holders.

PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 version targets 60fps at dynamic 4K resolution with ray-traced reflections in select areas, following Asobo's optimization patterns from A Plague Tale: Requiem. DualSense haptic feedback enhances combat impacts, and adaptive trigger resistance may activate during parry and block sequences based on preview build behavior.

Xbox Series X|S

Xbox Series X|S receives native next-gen versions with Quick Resume support, allowing instant return to Sophia's adventure after switching games. Xbox Play Anywhere enables cross-save and shared ownership between console and PC Microsoft Store versions.

PC — Steam and Epic Games Store

PC players can purchase Resonance through Steam and Epic Games Store, with Xbox Play Anywhere providing an additional Microsoft Store option that syncs with Xbox Series X|S saves. PC supports full key rebinding, mouse-driven grappling hook aiming, and both keyboard/mouse and controller input.

Pre-Load and Launch Timing
