Xbox Series Controller Layout

The Xbox Series X|S version of Resonance uses a standard action-adventure button layout confirmed in Xbox Games Showcase 2026 gameplay footage. As a day-one Xbox Game Pass title with Xbox Play Anywhere support, the same controls apply whether playing on console or PC through the Microsoft Store.

Combat Controls

X performs light attacks and charged critical strikes. Y breaks guards and handles interactions. B dodges and crouches. A vaults and jumps. LB parries (tap) or blocks (hold). RB activates the grappling hook. RT throws objects and executes heavy actions.

Left stick click (L3) sprints. The combat system uses yellow attack indicators for parryable strikes and red indicators for attacks that must be dodged — identical to the PS5 and PC versions.

Exploration Controls

D-Pad Up toggles the Minoan Sphere for puzzle solving. View button opens the crew notebook. Menu button pauses. Y also triggers stealth takedowns when positioned above or behind unaware enemies.

Quick Resume support on Xbox Series X|S allows instant return to Sophia's adventure after switching games, preserving exact progress through the Minotaur's Island labyrinth.
